MissP recently told me about all you can eat tacos for $10 at Azucar on Tuesday..Yup! Taco Tuesday! SW lovesss
Mexican food so I thought he would be excited to try it. AYCE AND tacos?? That’s right up his alley. We chanced it last night and tried to go, but wait til was 1 hour. Fail. Not wanting to wait, we moved onto SO! (http://www.yelp.com/biz/so-san-francisco-4
We got their:
Wings — Chicken wings deep fried in a light batter tossed in roasted red peppers, garlic and ginger sauce
They are known for their chicken wings which are deeeelish. It probably isn’t surprising that I like them because those meaty little suckers are fried and crispy (yum), and sweet and spicy (double yum)..oh and very peppery. white pepper that is.
Sooo good. At one point as I was gnawing on a wing, I asked, “Would it be weird to just eat the outside crunchy parts, and leave the naked chicken meat?” By that time, the good parts are gone. SW gave me a funny look…We ended up with just two wings to take home..should have gotten an order to go 😛
Potstickers — 6 wok fried potstickers filled with ground pork and napa cabbage seasoned with fresh ginger and garlic
These were yummy too. Chewy and crispy outer skin and a spicy vinegar dipping sauce.
Dried Sauteed String Beans — Fresh string beans flash-fried and tossed in a garlicky sauce with chinese pickle
Slightly crunchy and I like the little preserved pickle slices–they give a nice salty crunch too.
So Black Bean — Noodles mixed in black bean sauce with pork, scrambled eggs, jalapenos, cayenne, and paprika
I love spice! but this dish was just a teeny bit too spicy for me! I’ll still eat it any day though!
What Do You Know — Pork loin spare ribs marinated in soy sauce, sugar sesame oil, black pepper, cayenne, paprika, onions, green onions, jalapenos and garlic
The description sounded a bit better then it tasted I thought. The flavor actually reminded me of a taste you would find in Mexican food. I can’t describe it. The meat was pretty tender, but I could have done without this one…
Of course we didn’t finish all of it, so you can probably guess that as I’m writing this…I’m already looking forward to eating the leftovers later!
